It's a trio of top 50s today, with a number one each for the hot favourites for the overall top spot. First up we have a pretty unique chart with an entire Generation Terrorists top 10 and an overall 20 songs from the GT era and before. Last Christmas also takes its first points so far. Like many, I came across the Manics during the height of Britpop and ended the 90s at the Millennium Stadium singing along to the songs from those first 5 albums; what had by then become the soundtrack to my teenage years.
Generation Terrorists is the album I've always loved the most; the timeless politics, the glamour, the cheesy bits, the piano, the synthetic drums. JDB's vocals sound just old enough to be wise but just young enough to be foolish. GT-era Manics understood the iconography of music more than any other British band.

The second chart today has Design For Life in top spot and another where TUVL has had a big initial impact with Still Snowing In Sapporo crashing in at number 6.
The Holy Bible and This Is My Truth eras feature the most with 9 and 7 respectively, while I'm Not Working and The Left Behind as two of the less-picked album tracks manage to get their fourth and third selections respectively.

Generation Terrorists, The Holy Bible and Everything Must Go are the eras that feature most, although three of Gold Against The Soul's five tracks make the top 10.
Also, after being picked for the first time only the other day, So Dead has now been selected four times, twice today!
