It's a 6-chart day so I've split the blog in two again. First up we have another Tolerate number 1, but ADFL aside the rest of the top 10 is made up of songs that might be battling it out to squeeze into the overall top 50. There are some relatively surprising songs picking up some big numbers in a few different charts recently, so let's see if they can keep it up for the duration. One of the more even charts, with every era picking up at least two songs and none being higher than five. All We Make Is Entertainment and Morning Comrades pick up their first points this time round.

Laura got incredibly creative for her chart, the final picture below being a mere fraction of the effort that went in, with each song getting its own artistic representation. Go and check out her Twitter for the full set. It's a chart loaded with those lesser loved songs, many of which are picking up their first votes this time, Melancholyme and Vision Blurred in particular picking up some big points.
Although none are picking up points for the first time ever, which is probably because Laura has included them before! Ocean Spray joins the 50 point club and, as with the previous chart, it's an all rounder with every era getting at least two songs and no more than five.

The third chart in this batch is another weighted towards the early days with JDB living out his rock god fantasies at number 1 with Condemned To Rock 'N' Roll. But I'll leave it to Joe to describe his journey in his own words:
Personally, I first discovered the Manics as a 14-year-old with the release of Everything Must Go in 1996 and the album quickly became one of my absolute favourites. But it was only when I saw the Hillsborough Gig where they played Motorcycle Emptiness that I realised that EMG was not their debut album and there was even more Manic goodness to discover. I got hold of the first 3 albums and listened to all 4 albums a lot. When This is My Truth came out, this quickly became another favourite too. These songs became the soundtrack of my life and I still associate many of the songs with that period of life - especially helping me when my gran died in 1996 (who I was really close to), when I was struggling during A-Levels and leaving home, going to University and having my parents move house so "home" was no longer home. The first 5 albums will always have a special place in my affections as they were the soundtrack of my formative teenage years...there's hardly a song I don't like on those albums.
From Know Your Enemy onwards, there are still loads of great songs I love, but for me, the songwriting has just not been at the same and consistently extremely high level as for GT, GATS, THB, EMG, and TIMTTMY. I don't mind different sounds, different styles (I love the melancholy beauty of This is My Truth) but I just haven't connected with the songs on the more recent albums nearly as much.
My favourite album as a whole is Gold Against The Soul - I just love the whole album, the sound, the songs, the energy. For me, it is pretty near perfect.
