As the charts come streaming in, these three are from Thursday 25th and we start with another top spot for Motorcycle Emptiness. I Live To Fall Asleep and William's Last Words both achieve their highest placing so far, while Generation Terrorists just pips This Is My Truth to top spot in the By Era chart.

It's a second number 1 for Tsunami in the second chart of this batch, while Donkeys also takes it second number 2 slot. Valley Boy hits the top 10 in its highest placing so far, while a few of the lesser-loved album tracks manage to get some much needed points on the board. Generation Terrorists, Gold Against The Soul and This Is My Truth all tie at the top of the By Era chart with 7 each.

Last but not least in this batch is an emailed entry and possibly my favourite Manics origin story so far. Born A Girl makes its debut in the 50 point club and Generation Terrorists takes the honours by era, but it's over to Daisy to explain the background in more detail:
I’m a relatively new Manics fan, having gotten into them just over a year ago now. I started listening to them because my dad told me he wasn’t a fan and that was my form of teenage rebellion, but after getting hooked on The Holy Bible I am now a bonafide Manics obsessive, with posters on my wall and Larkin on my shelf like every other teenage girl.
Born A Girl is my favourite Manics song because I think it’s so beautifully melancholic and sad, and it’s some of Nicky’s best lyricism for sure. It’s hugely underrated even with Manics fans.
